Teaching

Always wanted to learn an instrument but never got round to it? Perhaps you took violin or piano lessons in school but gave up and have always wanted to get back into music? Do you have children who are keen to learn musical instruments but are struggling to decide which one is best for them? If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then why not begin harp lessons! Tomos has taught a number of private students and is currently the harp teacher at Charterhouse School, Sevenoaks SchoolLingfield College, the Hindhead Music Centre, the Hertforshire Music Service, and deputy harp teacher at Putney High School.

Each lesson is tailored to suit the individual pupil, and he has experience teaching all sorts of music from classical through to jazz, folk and popular. The harp is a beautiful instrument which is even more of a joy to play than to listen to, so Tom's aim is to make sure that every harp lesson is always fun and enjoyable, and yet still beneficial to the pupil; he guarantees that you will leave your first lesson able to play something!

Tomos is experienced in preparing students for grade exams, and all of his students have received distinctions in their ABRSM exams. He can also help prepare students for theory and aural exams. He is available to teach harp lessons to pupils of any age, from beginner to any level, in Hampshire/Surrey and the surrounding areas, and from his home in Bordon. Please don't hesitate to contact him to discuss availablity and pricing for harp lessons, and also for advice on buying or hiring pedal and lever harps.
