Welcome to the website of Tomos Xerri, Hampshire based international award-winning harpist, educator, orchestral player and performer for weddings & other events, and Harpist in Residence at the Four Seasons Hotel, Hampshire.

Professional Harpist

Born and raised in Wales, Tomos is now based in Hampshire and enjoys a varied performing career in London and across the UK. As a solo recitalist he has performed at the Wigmore Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, for the late HM The Queen, and at Downing Street; he has performed in chamber music concerts alongside members of the Philharmonia Orchestra and Britten Sinfonia, and enjoys regular work with leading orchestras such as the London Philharmonic and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestras.

Wedding Harpist

"Just amazing!! Tomos was so professional but friendly. He learnt to play a new tune for me so I could walk in to my wedding with it. His playing on the harp is just magical and I would recommend Tomos in a heartbeat - Karen Dickenson, wedding in 2022.

Tomos is in high demand as a harpist for weddings, functions, and corporate events across the UK. He has performed at venues including The Ritz, Claridges, Corinthia, Savoy, The House of Commons, The Grand Connaught Rooms, Cliveden House, and regularly entertains guests for Afternoon Tea as Resident Harpist at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire.

As someone who recently got married himself, Tomos understands that the most important thing is to make sure that your day goes as smoothly, professionally, and most importantly as magically as it can, focusing on providing a friendly and informative service months before the big day comes. In terms of music he can offer advice, recommendations, and tailor playlists to suit individual clients' wishes, arranging songs or pieces you had in mind for the harp at no extra cost.

Harp Teacher

Tomos is the harp teacher at Charterhouse School, Lingfield College, Sevenoaks School, the Hindhead Music Centre, and for many private students across Hampshire and Surrey. He has experience preparing students to all 8 ABRSM Grade Examinations and beyond, with all students receiving either Distinction or Merit, and is also experienced in coaching students for their aural tests, theory exams, and also for auditions to local and national orchestras and harp ensembles.

Each lesson is tailored to suit the individual pupil, and he has experience teaching all sorts of music from classical through to jazz, folk and popular. The harp is a beautiful instrument which is even more of a joy to play than to listen to, so Tom's aim is to make sure that every harp lesson is always fun and enjoyable, and yet still beneficial to the pupil; he guarantees that you will leave your first lesson able to play something!
